Living in a village that is isolated, remote and with no infrastructure may exclude us out from many things our town and city counterparts do and receive as a daily occurrence. Thanks to Mary and her family our Primary students were able via video conferencing [VC] brought the distance a little closer by taking part in a First Aid For You lesson.
The lesson was fun, engaging and factual.
Our students participated from the beginning to the end of the lesson. During their break times they discussed it independently and related it to when and where they may need these life-skills.
Within the classroom, the students discussed why, what and how they took care of bleeds, stings, bites and administer CPR. The children chose a body part and wrote a procedural text for a bleed.
So thank you to Mary and your family for giving our students from Kindergarten to Year 6 this opportunity.
